Here I am on tour as Production Coordinator in a rare moment for a break.

Hey, I’m Melissa. I’m your music-loving, cello-playing Designer.

I like to think of myself as a real renaissance woman.

Renaissance Woman:

A woman who is interested in and knows a lot about many things.
— Merriam-Webster Dictionary

I’ve dabbled in or dove into a great many things, starting with marine biology as a child, which moved to wanting to be an airline pilot because i didn’t think there were enough women pilots, threw that out the window in exchange for physics and astrology which then moved to environmental sciences in high school, then mathematics in college, eventually honing down to Horticulture.

Finally deciding to major in horticulture because of my environmental interests and it seemed like the most feasible career.

After college, I became a waitress, but all I wanted to do was work in music. I dabbled with the thought of being a boat mechanic, multi-instruments, gardening & horticulture.

I’ve always been into science and music.

I’ve worked as an event producer, web designer, musician, and horticulturist from Madison, Wisconsin. She runs a plant event company called, Horti-Craft which offers fun workshops to create plant-based arts & crafts for the home. She also builds websites for musicians, co-produces Abbey Road on the River, a Beatles, and 60’s inspired music festival, and plays cello in various cover bands.
